Ted’s Woodworking is a big plan library. It is not a class.
You download drawings and cut lists. You still buy the lumber, own the tools, and make the mistakes. That is the whole product. The sales page advertises 16,000+ plans. Quality is uneven because it is a compiled library, not one workshop’s portfolio.
Front-end: about $67, or a $49 downsell. Commission: 75%. Typical affiliate payout: about $48 after the funnel, from late-September 2026 marketplace snapshots. Gravity was about 46, so other affiliates are already selling it.
What you get and what you don’t
| Included | Not included | |
|---|---|---|
| Plans | PDFs and drawings for furniture, sheds, outdoor builds, jigs | Guaranteed accuracy on every plan |
| Skill | Some beginner projects | Coaching, video walkthrough of your specific build |
| Shop | Nothing physical | Lumber, screws, a circular saw, a drill |
Who should buy it
- Buy it if you will build several projects this year and you are tired of incomplete free PDFs.
- Skip it if you only need one shed. A single paid plan is cheaper. Start with the shed plan checklist.
- Skip it if you have no tools yet. Read the starter tool list first. Plans do not cut wood.
Questions people actually ask
Is 16,000 plans a real number?
That is the vendor’s claim. You will not use most of them. The useful test is whether the first three projects you care about have a cut list, dimensions, and a materials list.
Why do affiliates quote $125 a sale?
That is the top of the upsell path, not the average. Planning on about $48 a referred sale is closer to the published average payout.
