A picnic table needs braces, or the legs walk.
People buy a pretty top view and then the table racks the first time someone sits on the end. The plan has to show the cross-brace, not just the tabletop boards.
- Length. 6 feet seats six in a pinch. 8 feet is heavy to move alone.
- Benches. Attached benches are more stable. Separate benches are easier to store and easier to build wrong.
- Top. Leave a small gap between boards so rain does not pool.
