What the guides are
Each guide covers the decisions that matter before you buy a plan or lumber: size, foundation, span, height, and the wood that suits the job. They are written from published building practice and common plan specifications. They are not a record of my own builds, and they are not a substitute for a complete plan or your local building rules.

The site is written and maintained by Mike E.
How the site makes money
